Below you will find a list of episodes from my podcast dedicated to personal and professional growth that are published on a weekly basis on various social media and that deal with a specific topic.
Their duration can vary between 5-15 minutes, with few exceptions.
Enjoy!
Brand Identity 1
VALUES
This is the first of a series of three episodes that are dedicated to
"Brand Identity"
to especially help the "minor" (in terms of business size, certainly not of importance and dignity) protagonists internalize and communicate to the market who/what they are, what's their role in it, and most important, what inspires them.
Brand Identity 2
MISSION
We're the only living beings who can ask themselves why we're here, who we are, where we are going, etc.?
How can this power help us get on a higher and more "noble" path in our lives, providing it with a deeper meaning and even a purpose?
Brand Identity 3
VISION
A Vision is comparable to a "prophecy" that a person makes about her Brand ( even at a personal level or in other contexts).
A prophecy, even the kind that appears in some spiritual writings, such as the Bible, is not an abstract prediction of an event that will take place sometime in the future, but the description of an event that will occur as a result of a process that began some time ago.
TURNING POINT
Although
"turning point" events are not so common in people's lives, they do produce a huge impact on them.
They're very different from other events which, although impactful, ultimately don't provide a new direction.
Turning point events or "defining moments" open to a completely new path.
POTENTIAL
In the context of personal and professional growth, it's normal to consider it a duty, even more than a responsibility, to express our potential.
Our potential is defined this way because it still needs to be expressed, and we therefore have no idea what it is or what we can expect from this work... but it's also the beauty of the whole process.
MOTIVATION
Living a life without motivation means sentencing ourselves to an empty, dull, and practically useless existence.
We are designed to be motivated, it's innate in us, but we don't know - or rather, we forgot - how to motivate ourselves on command, because motivation is a choice, not something that just happens to you.
BANALITY
If we're not in this world to live life passively, why do we settle for the least we can get out of it?
Sure, nobody gave us an instruction manual on how to live a good life, but is this a good enough excuse for not looking for a meaning to why we're here and what we must do to give our existence any value?
Anything that distracts us from this mission is banality.
DECISIVENESS
"Deciding" is the human activity that more than others defines our humanity, as it's based on our unique capacity to choose.
Which is why it's so scary... as it should be because it compels us to be very careful about the choices we make, by going deep down into the dynamics that govern the formation of our decisions.
VOID
When it comes to waiving a behavior or a habit that we consider to be negative or even harmful, we realize that much too often we find ourselves giving up and going back, with all the consequences that it entails.
At a psychological level, this can be devastating because we realize that we have no control over our lives.
INSPIRATION
Inspiration, which is by no means a synonym of Motivation, is perhaps the most impalpable thing that exists, the effects and the impact of which are nonetheless nothing short of awesome.
Nothing meaningful has ever been made or created that wasn't triggered by inspiration, and it always takes place spontaneously, with no notice, from any direction, and from anything, whether tangible or intangible.
THAT'S IT!
We all happen to cross the limits of tolerance, in both relationships (or what happens in relationships) and situations we need to correct.
When we get to the point of bursting out because we can no longer put up with whatever has been putting us under pressure for some time, it's not necessarily bad news, as it means that we're accepting that we must change something we can no longer postpone.
SERVING
Behind everything we do, such as studying, working, researching, marrying, having children, etc. there's always not just a mere intention to serve, but also a deep desire and if someone is kept from doing so, for some reason, he/she can suffer serious consequences on his/her physical and mental health.
PRIORITIES
Our priorities define the decisions that we make, which in turn determine the type of life we'll have.
In most cases, people don't have a clue about what their priorities are. In the best-case scenario, they know - roughly - what's important for them... but not in order of importance and this can alter the effectiveness of their lives.
ACTION
We all know well the importance of "doing" stuff in life to obtain what we want... don't they keep saying this all the time?
Although we can all agree to this point, it may not be a bad idea to ask ourselves what we actually mean by "action"...
LOST
Reinterpreted to fit the huge topic of personal growth, Dante's amazing
"Divine Comedy" is a splendid metaphor about losing and then finding oneself again, where being lost is the worst state that we can find ourselves in: it's what we call Hell ("Inferno" in Dante's poem).
PARADIGMS
The reality in which we are immersed is so complex that it's impossible to make any sense of it, making navigation quite difficult for most people.
Nature overcame this problem by providing us with so-called "paradigms", i.e. mental models that are in fact maps that enable us to orient ourselves and that we follow without hesitation.
JUST DO IT!
It's not always necessary to provide exhaustive explanations for anything you ask someone for whom you're responsible to do, regardless if it's your children, your collaborators, or others.
In fact, it can even be counter-productive for their growth, because there are things that they must understand and discover on their own in order for these to have the most impact on them.
GROWING
Growing is not an option, it's a law of Nature that no one or nothing can escape, and any resistance can only bring uneasiness and even pain.
Many are still confused about what "growing" means, and it's even less clear how this happens so we can lead the process virtuously.
